Tony began his distinguished photographic career while serving in the U.S. Army doing high altitude surveillance photography.

He gained experience as a photographer when he was hired by the Chicago American newspaper. Tony continued as the Chicago American folded first into Chicago Today and finally the Chicago Tribune.  At the Chicago Tribune after developing expertise in sports, fashion and Sunday Magazine features he became Chief Photographer and then in 1971, Director of Photography. Many of his images and  those of his staff won numerous awards-both nationally and internationally. Several of his pictorials were hung at the Hague, Netherlands.

After leaving the Tribune in 1997, Tony co-founded the photographic company Photofields with his wife Sally Good. Here they specialize in interior design, architectural and landscape photography.

For the past ten years Tony has been expanding his artistic horizons working with oil paint and oil pastels to create captivating works of art. These works can be viewed in the Portfolio pages of the site and are available for purchase.

Sally studied professional photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York State and the London College of Printing in England.

Initially she entered the workforce doing black and white  printing for the renown agricultural photographer, Grant Heilman in her hometown of Lititz, Pennsylvania. Before long she realized her dream career involved  being behind the camera  shooting images.

Fortune came her way when she was hired as an intern photographer by the Chicago Tribune. Sally was hired permanently in 1976. For the next ten years, she worked as a member of the Tribune photo staff devoting most of her time to photographing feature assignments as well as shooting food,  fashion, portraits and interiors.

After taking time off to raise their four children she joined her husband Tony Berardi and co-founded Photofields. Their work has recently appeared in House Beautiful, Luxe magazine, North Shore Magazine and Midwest Home Chicago.  They have had the pleasure of working with Ball Seed Co., Barnes & Noble, Brinker International, MTV's Real World, Moet & Chandon, East Bank Club, Restaurants & Institutions and Rockford Publishing.
